STEM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics. At the simplest level, we break down the traditional silos between these courses and engage in hands-on, project-based learning. We team teach groups of students that work together in a learning cohort that uses real-world problems as a way to activate the core competencies of British Columbia’s new inquiry-based curriculum; communication, critical and creative thinking, and social responsibility. As the world becomes more connected, and technology continues to advance, these skills will be the key to success for all students.
